About the event
We begin with an introductory session in the Crypt Museum of All Hallows Church, outlining the main events of Roman rule, which covered nearly 400 years, and using the city model there to give some notion of the geography of Roman London. From All Hallows the walk will take in some of the best-preserved stretches of the Roman city wall before heading for the sites of the Forum and Basilica, the Amphitheatre and the Fort. Because this walk will cover a slightly longer distance than most of our programme and will include a visit to the Amphitheatre remains under Guildhall Art Gallery, it is likely to take two and a half to three hours.
